Lymph is Good
chronicles the journey of an active 30-something Dallas-ite trying to keep her head up while grappling with primary lymphedema.

Crushed It

I’ll keep this short and sweet. The speech was a success!

After working on and tweaking it for weeks, practicing it a bajillion times at full volume to the entirety of the Dallas and Heathrow airports, stressing myself out about it up until the minute before delivering it, I crushed it. In an attempt to be modest, about half of the wedding attendees came up to me after the speech to tell me what an excellent speech it was and how well I delivered it. A couple of the more academic “folks” even asked me for tips and tricks. (Hilarious!)

My leg: a non-issue… well that was up until we got down to the dancing part of the night and I had to excuse myself for the evening. But, I made it! (And I’m not much for dancing anyway, so my leg became a nice excuse to duck out… kind of like a Swedish Exit!)
