Lymph is Good
chronicles the journey of an active 30-something Dallas-ite trying to keep her head up while grappling with primary lymphedema.

The Office

Six days post surgery. I’m doin’ ok. Recovery is… recovery. I’m starting to get into a routine with things. 80-minutes on your feet per day is not a lot of time. Here’s my breakdown:

10-minutes: Getting ready in the morning: brush my teeth, shower, make the bed, get dressed, get downstairs… sitting down in between activities (i.e. no teeth brushing while standing!).
10-15 minutes: Getting to and from work… it’s a walk, but it’s only about 10-minutes.
10-minutes: Morning bathroom break… I only get one, so I’ve got to ration liquids accordingly.
10-minutes: Afternoon bathroom break… see morning.
10-minutes: Getting ready for bed: getting upstairs, washing up, getting undressed.

Everyone at the office has been super nice about coming to see me since I can’t exactly move around to see them… it’s the not helping out around the house or being my independent self that is breaking me.
