Lymph is Good
chronicles the journey of an active 30-something Dallas-ite trying to keep her head up while grappling with primary lymphedema.

Maxi Skirt

Without being able to wear anything on my leg and because the sight of my leg made my headspin… oh, and because my leg looked terrible - swollen from the surgery, swollen from the condition, and generally just terrible from an “oh by the way you just had surgery” standpoint, I decided that I needed to keep it lightly covered at all times.

Lying down? Purple sheet. Sitting at the table? Purple sheet. Sleeping? Purple sheet. Me and my purple sheet ar like Lionel and his blanket… I’m not going anywhere without it.

Except for out of the house. (Dammit!) Since, for my sanity, I need to keep my leg covered at all times, I purchased a maxi skirt. I have always felt that maxi skirts make me appear shorter and stockier than I actually am. I’m lucky if I’m 5’2”. Hence, I have none. (Thank you, Amazon Prime.) Did I mention I’m also not a huge fan of skirts… like… period end of sentence?

So… stay tuned. Me and this maxi skirt are going to hug it out while I’m recovering.
