chronicles the journey of an active 30-something Dallas-ite trying to keep her head up while grappling with primary lymphedema.

Sprained

It was as if I knew that by documenting the run that we went on a few days ago that I would have to write about it again… but I guess that’s why I wrote about it on the day that I wrote about it.

I sprained my ankle running.

My ankle and foot did feel a little funny while we were touring around town, but I figured that was just because I hadn’t been running in a while. My leg has also been a bite more swollen… which I attribute to the delicious chocolate balls that we ate, new and interesting foods (like herring - holy salt block!), and um… walking.

But, now that we’re back in the U.S., it’s safe to say that my ankle is definitely more swollen than it was before we left. (Insert every single expletive I know here!)

Seriously… I’m already wearing compression and elevating… what else is a girl to do?! So disheartening… I’m pretty sure this marks the end of my running career.
