Lymph is Good
chronicles the journey of an active 30-something Dallas-ite trying to keep her head up while grappling with primary lymphedema.

Who knew that my condition would lead me down memory lane? I never could have predicted this…

I bought a sewing machine. Huh? That's right, a sewing machine. I don't really need it, but I bought one to support my newfound style (one-legged leggings) since I had been borrowing a friends before. Back in the day, I took a sewing class. I would make my own dresses and pajama pants. I think I even made a stuffed bear and monkey at one point. I wasn't great, but I was pretty good.

Never would have thunk that I’d find myself engrossed in a sewing project and watching YouTube videos to figure out how to fill the bobbin-thinger with thread. But that's what I did.

This past weekend. I had been saving up my legging purchases for an afternoon of sewing that turned into a day and a half of sewing… I had to figure it out, practice, and then get the job done… without breaking the damn thing. Two of my leggings were expensive! Can't mess those up!

But, I persisted and they look great! I’m no pro, but I’m definitely thinking that I’m onto something.
